Differential Side Seal, Automatic Transaxle
WITH 4EAT
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2. Drain transaxle fluid, then remove either lefthand or righthand halfshaft and joint.
3. Remove differential oil seals with flat-tip screwdriver.
INSTALLATION
1. Use differential seal replacer tool No. T87C-77000-H or equivalent, to install new differential oil seals.
2. Replace halfshaft bearing retainer circlip on end of lefthand halfshaft and joint, then install halfshaft.
3. Install front wheels, then torque wheel hub bolt nuts to 66-86 ft lbs.
4. Lower vehicle, then add specified transaxle fluid, check for leaks, and check fluid level.
