9. Position the ball joint to the front wheel knuckle and install the ball joint clamp bolt. Tighten the ball joint clamp bolt to 34-57 Nm (25-42 ft. lbs.).
10. Install the stabilizer bar link to the front suspension lower arm. Tighten the stabilizer bar link nut to 36-54 Nm (27-40 ft. lbs.).
11. Install a new front axle wheel hub retainer. Tighten the front axle wheel hub retainer to 235-319 Nm (174-235 ft. lbs.). If necessary, apply brakes.

12. Stake the front axle wheel hub retainer using a cold chisel with the cutting edge rounded as shown.
CAUTION: If the front axle wheel hub retainer splits or cracks after staking, it must be replaced.
NOTE: The staking tool can be fabricated from an existing hardened chisel. The correct radius on the chisel tip will prevent incorrect staking. Do
not attempt to stake with a sharp edged tool.
13. Check the transaxle fluid level and check for transaxle leaks.
14. Install the wheel and tire assembly and the five lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts to 88-118 Nm (65-87 ft. lbs.).
15. As a final inspection, rotate the front wheel driveshaft and joint by hand and observe the operation of the front wheel driveshaft and joint.
16. Lower the vehicle.
