Rear Suspension - Rear Strut and Spring Assembly Puma 1998 (06/1997-12/2001)
Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Remove the parcel shelf.

  1. Remove the rear seat latch cover.

  1. Remove two luggage compartment trim panel studs.

  1. Remove the luggage compartment trim panel.

  1. Remove the safety belt retaining bracket lower bolt and upper rear bolt.

  1. Remove the safety belt retaining bracket upper front bolt and remove the bracket.

  1. Remove the top mounting nut.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the lower mounting bolt.
  1. Remove the strut and spring assembly.

Installation
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The final tightening of the rear suspension components should be carried out when the vehicle weight is on the road wheels.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
