Power Brake Actuation - Brake Booster Puma 1998 (06/1997-12/2001)
Removal and Installation

Removal

All Vehicles
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the effected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
    Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Remove the master cylinder. For additional information, refer to Section  206-06 Hydraulic Brake Actuation.
Left-hand drive vehicles

  1. Detach the booster actuating rod.
All Vehicles

  1. Detach the fuse box and secure to one side.

  1. Detach the booster
Right-hand drive vehicles

  1. Disconnect the hydraulic control unit electrical connector.

  1. Detach the booster actuating rod.
    1. Pull the booster forwards.
    1. Remove the actuating rod pin and clip.
All Vehicles
  1. Remove the booster.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Bleed the brake system. For additional information, refer to Section  206-00 Brake System - General Information.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
