Inspect the forward ring gear and hub component for damage. - If repair is necessary, use the following procedure.

Remove the forward ring gear hub from the forward ring gear. - Remove the retaining ring.
- Remove the forward ring gear hub.

Install the forward ring gear hub onto the forward ring gear. - Install the forward ring gear hub.
- Install the retaining ring.
