Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Rear Cable and Conduit
REMOVAL
1. Relieve the tension on the parking brake system.

Pull down on the front parking brake cable and conduit.

Insert a 4 mm (5/32-inch) drill bit or equivalent retainer.
NOTE: Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
4. Disconnect the parking brake intermediate cable from the LH parking brake rear cable and conduit.
NOTE: Disconnect the parking brake intermediate cable from the locating hole end of the connector.
