Ranger 4WD V6-4.0L (2009)
4. NOTE: Slight clockspring rotor turning is allowed for steering column alignment.
Install the clockspring.

With the flats of the clockspring aligned to the flats of the steering column, slide the clockspring on the steering column.

Engage the upper and side tabs.
5. Engage the lower clockspring clip.
6. Connect the clockspring electrical connectors.

Install the ground wire.

Connect the electrical connectors and attach the pin-type retainers.
7. Position the upper steering column shroud.
8. Position the lower steering column shroud and install the 3 screws.
9. Install the tilt release lever/handle.
10. Install the steering column opening cover reinforcement and 4 bolts.

Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
11. Align the lower steering column opening trim panel and push in, seating the clips and install the 2 screws.
12. Position the hood release handle and install the 2 screws.
13. Install the ignition lock cylinder.
14. NOTE: Make sure the wheels are in the straight-ahead position.
