Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the clips. | All vehicles | -
Detach the flexible brake hose and the stabilizer bar connecting link from the strut and spring assembly. - Detach the flexible brake hose.
- Detach the stabilizer bar connecting link.

CAUTION:Suspend the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly to prevent damage to the flexible brake hose. Detach the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly from the wheel knuckle. | | -
CAUTION:Protect the ball joint seal using a soft cloth to prevent damage. Detach the lower arm from the wheel knuckle. - Remove the lower arm ball joint heat shield.

Remove the wheel knuckle to strut and spring assembly pinch bolt. | | -
Using the special tool, detach the wheel knuckle from the strut and spring assembly. | | -
Support the wheel knuckle assembly. | | -
Remove the strut and spring assembly. - Use a suitable Allen key to prevent the strut and spring assembly piston rod from rotating.
- Remove the strut and spring assembly top mount retaining nut.

Remove the strut and spring assembly top mount insulator. | Installation | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | |
