| Removal and Installation Removal CAUTION:Disconnect the battery negative lead. | | -
CAUTION:When disconnecting multiplugs do not pull on the wiring; pull on the multiplug body. Disconnect the stop lamp switch multiplug. | | | -
Remove the stop lamp switch. - Twist the switch anticlockwise to remove from the pedal box.
| Installation For left-hand drive variants only | | -
Refit the stop light switch. - Insert the switch into its locating slot.
- Pull the brake pedal upwards.
- Push the switch assembly down until the plunger is fully in.
- Turn the switch assembly 40 degrees to back off 1 mm and lock into position.
| For right-hand drive variants only | | -
Refit the stop light switch. - Insert the switch into its locating slot.
- Support the brake pedal in the rest position.
- Push the switch assembly down until the plunger is fully in.
- Turn the switch assembly 40 degrees to back off 1 mm and lock into position.

Refit the remaining components in reverse order. | |
