WARNING:This procedure requires the temporary removal of the fuel filler cap. All health and safety regulations concerned with working in close proximity to potentially explosive liquids and gases must be fully complied with.
CAUTION:The fuel filler flap is a push fit in the filler housing with both components manufactured in plastic. The flap should be very carefully eased out of the locating holes as excess force will cause damage or breakage to the flap and housing.
Open the fuel filler flap and remove the filler cap.
CAUTION:Ensure no components or tools are dropped into the fuel filler neck.
Carefully remove the fuel filler neck retaining screw.
Remove the fuel filler flap housing.
Rotate the housing approximately 30 degrees anticlockwise.
Remove the housing.
WARNING:The fuel filler cap should be refitted whilst work continues on the fuel filler flap.
Refit the fuel filler cap.
Remove the fuel filler flap.
Prise out the flap bottom spigot from its location hole.
