Engine Emission Control - 18L Duratec-DOHC (Zetec) Removal and Installation

Engine Emission Control - 1.8L Duratec-DOHC (Zetec) - Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Hose Transit/Tourneo Connect 2002.5 (06/2002-)
Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Section  303-03 Engine Cooling.

3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 3 : Thermostat housing retaining bolts

  1. Lower the vehicle.

Item 5 : Thermostat housing seal

NOTE:
NOTE:Discard the thermostat housing seal.

Installation Details

Item 5 : Thermostat housing seal

NOTE:
NOTE:Install a new thermostat housing seal.

Item 3 : Thermostat housing retaining bolts

  1. Raise the vehicle.
