Special Tools

17‐029Torque wrench, brake band

1. Raise the vehicle.

NOTE:

Hold the adjusting bolt nut when undoing the locknut.

2. Undo the brake band adjusting bolt locknut and slacken it a few turns.

3. Adjust the brake band.

NOTE:

Arrow direction when putting the special tool in place.

Screw in the adjusting bolt using the special tool, until the special tool springs over.

4. Adjust the brake band (cont.).

NOTE:

Hold the adjusting bolt to stop it from turning while tightening the new lock nut.

Turn the adjusting bolt back two turns and secure it with a new lock nut.

5. Lower the vehicle.
