Removal and Installation
Remove

WARNING:

Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

WARNING:

The fuel tank manual valves must be closed and fuel line pressure released before attempting any repairs. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

1. Depressurize the CNG system. For additional information, refer to Fuel System Pressure Release in this section.

2. Remove the fuel pressure regulator front cover.

3. Disconnect the low‐pressure fuel line union from the fuel pressure regulator.

4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator three electrical connectors.

5. Disconnect the high‐pressure fuel line from the fuel pressure regulator.

6. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.
1. Clamp the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.
2. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.

7. Remove the fuel pressure regulator and rear cover.
Install

WARNING:

All taper gas fittings must be kept perfectly clean to ensure a gas tight seal.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

9. Check the system for leaks. For additional information, refer to High‐Pressure Leak Test and Low‐Pressure Leak Test in this section.
