Remove
1. Disconnect the battery negative lead.

2. Remove the upper fan shroud.

NOTE:

The fan clutch has a right‐hand thread. It will be necessary to hold the fan pulley to remove the clutch assembly, use a strap wrench to prevent the pulley rotating.

3. Remove the clutch and fan assembly.

4. Disconnect the fan from the clutch assembly.
Install

NOTE:

To prevent thread damage and consequent replacement of the viscous clutch, the torque figures quoted should not be exceeded.

5. Refit the fan to the clutch assembly.

6. Refit the clutch and fan assembly to the fan hub.
7. Reconnect the battery negative lead.
