Removal and Installation of Refrigeration High-Pressure Cutoff Switch

Refrigeration - Refrigeration High-Pressure Cutoff Switch Transit 2000.5 (01/2000-05/2006)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the connector for the refrigeration high-pressure cutoff switch (2.4L diesel engine shown).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Ensure that the high-pressure cutoff switch valve is completely closed following removal to prevent loss of refrigerant.
    Remove the refrigeration high-pressure cutoff switch (2.4L diesel engine shown).
    • Discard the O-rings.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install new O-rings for the refrigeration high-pressure cutoff switch.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Coat the high-pressure cutoff switch O-rings with clean refrigerant oil prior to installation.
    Install the components in the reverse order.
