Removal

  1. General notes
    • Necessary removal work: apron panel reinforcement, fender, door, door hinges

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:There are several possible ways to carry out the repair. Deciding where the relevant cuts are to be made and the job steps necessary for the repair depends on the extent of the damage. When making the separating cuts, care must be taken not to damage underlying panels.
    A-pillar outer panel
    1. Cutting area for the A-pillar.
    1. Cutting area for the wheelhouse.
    1. Cutting area for the sill outer panel.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When cutting in the area of the wheelhouse, the wheelhouse reinforcement below should be cut offset by 50 mm.
    Section - Wheelhouse Reinforcement - Renew
    1. Reinforcement.
    1. Section - Wheelhouse Reinforcement - Renew.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When making the cut in the area of the sill outer panel, the whole wheelhouse reinforcement must be renewed.

Installation
  1. Section - Wheelhouse Reinforcement - Renew

    1. Section - Wheelhouse Reinforcement - Renew.
    1. Continuous MIG seam weld.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The join to the old part is to be suitably remade depending on the repair method.
    A-pillar outer panel
    1. Continuous MIG weld in the A-pillar area.
    1. Continuous MIG weld in the wheelhouse area.
    1. Continuous MIG weld in the sill outer panel area.
