Anti-Lock Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove battery and tray.
2. Disconnect upper radiator hose and remove radiator fan shroud.
3. Disconnect harness connector.
4. Disconnect 2-pin power and ground connector.
5. Disconnect 2-pin pump motor harness.
6. Remove four T25H Torx(R) head screws retaining module to the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) assembly.
7. Pull module straight forward to clear coils away from the valve solenoids. Lift module out of engine compartment.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully position module so coils line up directly with solenoid valves and push together.
2. Install four T25H Torx(R) mounting screws. Tighten to 4-5 Nm (35-44 in lb).
3. Reconnect 2-pin pump motor harness.
4. Reconnect 2-pin power and ground connector.
5. Reconnect 24-pin connector.
6. Install radiator fan shroud and upper radiator hose.
7. Install battery tray and battery.
8. Perform system precheck to verify concern is resolved.
