Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove coolant reservoir.
3.
On models with A/C, loosen compressor adjusting and pivot bolts.
4.
On models less A/C, loosen power steering adjusting and pivot bolts.
5.
On all models, remove power steering belt.
6.
Disconnect power steering pressure and suction hoses.
7.
Disconnect power steering pressure switch lead wire at switch terminal.
8.
Drain engine oil and remove oil filter.
9.
Remove power steering pump retaining bolts and the power steering pump.
10.
Reverse procedure to install.
