C 3500 Truck 2WD V8-454 7.4L VIN J SFI (1999)
1. Slide the bracket on the stud.
2. Install the three bolts and the nut.

Tighten the bolts and nut to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement.
4. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement.
5. Install the wire harness bracket to the generator mounting bracket.

Tighten the bolt to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (CS 144) or Generator Replacement (CS 130D) in Starting and Charging.
7. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Cable in Powertrain Management.
9. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Cooling System.
