INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Position the EVAP/fuel hose/pipe assembly up into the engine compartment along the engine and transmission.

2. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) in order to connect the following to the EVAP/fuel pipes:

-

The chassis fuel return pipe (1)

-

The chassis fuel feed pipe (2)

-

The chassis EVAP pipe (3)

3. Secure the EVAP/fuel pipe retaining clips to the EVAP/fuel pipe brackets (5, 6).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Secure the EVAP/fuel pipe retaining clips to the following:

-

The oil indicator tube (3)

-

The engine wiring harness bracket (4)

6. Connect the EVAP pipe (7, 8) to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
7. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) in order to connect the following to the fuel rail:

-

The fuel return hose/pipe (1)

-

The fuel feed hose/pipe (2)

8. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:

8.1.

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.

8.2.

Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.

8.3.

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

8.4.

Inspect for fuel leaks.
