Idler Arm: Service and Repair

Idler Arm Replacement 

Tools Required 
-

J43631 Ball Joint Remover

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.

2. Remove the idler arm to relay rod retaining nut. Discard the nut.

3. Disconnect the idler arm from the relay rod using the J43631.

4. Remove the idler arm to frame mounting bolts.
5. Remove the idler arm from the vehicle.
