Rear View Mirror Bass Kit
A replacement kit is now available for the rear view mirror base on '84 Civics, '83-'84 Preludes, and '82-'84 Accords. This kit will update the mirror
attachment to the '85 type.
INSTALLATION
1.
Cut the trim piece in half at one end with side cutters, then carefully remove it from the mirror.
CAUTION:
Do not try to pry it off with a sharp object (such as a screw driver) or you may damage the frame.
2.
Remove the mirror glass from the frame by gently pushing on its back side with a blunt tapered object like a dull pencil.
CAUTION:
Make sure you don't scratch the reflective coating on the back of the mirror.
3.
Loosen the screw in the retainer spring strip and replace the old stem with the new one. Make sure you transfer the black plastic holder (for the
vibration damper) from the old stem to the new one.
