Cowl Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair

Cowl Cover Replacement

Special Tools Required

KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *
* Available through the American Honda Tool and Equipment Program

NOTE:

-

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

-

Take care not to scratch the cowl covers and body.

-

Use the appropriate toot from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the windshield wiper arms.

2. Remove the hood rear seal (A) by pulling it out. Using a clip remover, detach the clips from the cowl covers. 

3. Detach the clips (A, B) by carefully pulling the passenger's cowl cover (C) upward, and release the hook (D) on the passenger's cowl cover from

the driver's cowl cover. Release the hooks (E) by pulling the cover forward, and release the hook (F) on the cover of the windshield corner portion
from the front fender (G),then remove the passenger's cowl cover.

4. Disconnect the windshield washer tubes (H).
5. Detach the clips (I, J, K) by carefully pulling the driver's cowl cover (L) upward. Release the hooks (M) by pulling the cover forward, and release

the hook (N) on the cover of the windshield corner portion from the front fender (0), then remove the driver's cowl cover.

6. Install the covers in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure the washer tubes are connected securely.

Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.

Push the clips into place securely.
