Front Suspension
Damper/Spring Removal and Installation
Removal
1. Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the damper.
4. Remove the wheel sensor harness clips (A) from the damper. Do not disconnect the wheel sensor connector.
5. Remove the flange nuts (B) while holding the damper pinch bolt (C) with a wrench, then remove the damper pinch bolts and the brake hose
bracket (D).
6. Remove the cap (A) from the top of the damper.
7. Hold the damper shaft (B) using a hex wrench (C), and loosen the 12 mm nut (D).
8. Remove the 12 mm nut (A) and the wave washer, (B), then remove the damper mounting base (C) from the body.
9. Remove the damper assembly (A) and the damper mounting cushion (B).
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
