If any tweeter wire is exposed but none of the strands of wire are cut or broken, wrap the damaged area with electrical tape (see
RECOMMENDED MATERIALS). Then go to step 13.

To splice the wire, strip 6 mm of insulation from each end of the tweeter wire.

Put each end of the stripped tweeter wire into the splice connector (see PARTS INFORMATION).

Crimp the splice connector onto the tweeter wire. Use the Crimping Tool (T/N O7NGZ-OO1O1OA) contained in Terminal Pin Kit B (see
REQUIRED SPECIAL TOOLS).

12.

Use the heat gun (T/N O7NGZ-001020A) from Terminal Pin kit B to heat shrink the shrink tubing until it is tight around the wire.

13.

Repeat steps 8 through 12 for any damaged tweeter wire.

14.

Fold the tweeter wires two inches from the tweeter connector, and tape the wires together with electrical tape (see RECOMMENDED
