Remove the driver's dashboard lower cover.

Remove the steering column upper and lower covers.

6.

Use a TORX driver to remove the two airbag mounting bolts. Remove the airbag from the steering wheel.

7.

Make sure it has been at least five minutes since you disconnected the battery, then disconnect the electrical connectors from the airbag.

8.

Remove the steering wheel mounting nut.

9.

Use a pen to make a mark across the steering wheel hub and the end of the steering shaft.

10.

Remove the steering wheel with a steering wheel puller (Kent-Moore J-29752 or equivalent).

11.

Disconnect the electrical connectors for the cable reel and combination switch from the harness at the base of the steering column.
