Because the caliper is a floating type, the torque plate shafts should be kept clean or the caliper and bushing may wear prematurely. Remember to
clean the torque plate shafts.

Check the brake disc for wear, or warpage. Deep scratches, grooves, signs of excessive heat and excess runout indicate that the disc should be
resurfaced.

However, if the resurfacing operation requires the removal of excess disc material and results in a disc that is thinner than the service limit shown
below, the disc must be replaced.

Thickness of Disc

Standard Value: 13.0 mm (0.510 in.) 

Service Limit: 11.4 mm (0.450 in.)
