4. Connect the GDS VCI module to the vehicle's DLC connector and open the GDS program.
5. Turn on vehicle ignition and make sure the green power LED is illuminated on the VCI; if it is not illuminated press on the power button of the VCI.
Within a few seconds, the GDS screen should indicate "VCI:USB On" in bright blue to the left of the VIN button on the screen.
6. Press the VIN button at the top of the screen to launch the GDS VIN search screen.
