2003 Q45, M45 AND G35; INCORRECT SHIFTING, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT "ON" WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DTC

APPLIED VEHICLES: 
2003 Q45 (F50)
2003 M45 (Y34)
2003 G35 Sedan (V35)
2003 G35 Coupe (cV35)

IF YOU CONFIRM:

^

The Check Engine Light is "ON",

^

The transmission does not shift correctly, and

^

One or more of the DTC(s) in Table A as shown are stored,

ACTIONS:

a.

Check the transmission fluid; confirm it is full and not burnt.

b.

Using CONSULT-II, print the Freeze Frame data (if available), then erase the DTC(s).

c

Use the "wiggle test" to check the vehicle harness-to-transmission connectors. Repair as needed.

d.

Perform the DTC confirmation procedure for one stored DTC. Use the applicable Service Manual (ESM), A/T section.

e.

Reprogram the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and perform TCM Initialization.

f.

If an applied Automatic Transmission DTC is confirmed (duplicated), replace the control valve assembly.
