5. If you have performed 1CM reprogramming; when reprogramming is complete the screen in Figure 4 displays.

6. Go to "BATTERY TESTING AND FINAL PROCESSES" below.

BATTERY TESTING AND FINAL PROCESSES

1. Test the battery with the GR8 Multitasking Battery Diagnostic Station (battery tester).

^ If the battery passes testing, charge the battery if required by the battery tester.

^ If the battery does not pass testing, replace it with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION.

Make sure the replacement battery is fully charged and ready for service before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

Reset/Re-initialize the Clock, Radio Presets, Power Windows, etc. (Refer to ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REMOVING BATTERY
NEGATIVE TERMINAL in the GI section of the ESM for details).

2. If the ECM (or ECM and TCM) was reprogrammed:

a. Erase DTCs from all systems. (During the reprogramming DTCs will set in several systems and must be erased).

b. Test drive the vehicle. Make sure it operates correctly and the MIL is OFF.

If the MIL comes ON refer to ASIST and / or the ESM for further diagnostic information.
