Camshaft: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rocker cover (right bank) and (left bank). Refer to "ROCKER COVER".
2. Obtain compression TDC of No. 1 cylinder. Refer to "TIMING CHAIN".
3. Remove the chain case cover (right bank) and (left bank). Refer to "TIMING CHAIN".

4. Paint matching marks on the timing chain links aligning with the camshaft sprocket matching marks.
