Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil filter bypass valve using the following procedure.
1. Insert the new oil filter bypass valve in the cylinder block.
2. Use a center punch and a hammer in order to stake the valve in three places.
2. Install the oil filter adapter fitting.
Tighten the oil filter adapter fitting to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
3. Install a new oil filter.
