Shift Linkage: Adjustments
Aisin-Warner 03-55 & 03-75 Automatic Transmission
1.
Loosen shift control rod adjusting nuts.
2.
Turn manual shaft fully in clockwise direction as viewed from right side of transmission, then back off to third stop, setting the shaft in neutral
position.
3.
With the transmission in neutral, ensure outside manual valve shift lever is in a vertical position.
4.
Hold the manual valve in that position and place the shift lever in neutral position.
5.
To remove play, tighten adjusting nuts with the lower level (control shaft lever) on the shift lever pushed rearward together with shift control lever.
6.
Check for proper operation of transmission and shift lever and readjust as necessary.
