Remove filler neck from washer tank (figure 2).

Remove grommet from washer tank (figure 1).
6.
Clean and dry washer tank surface.

Clean and dry grommet.

Cut 2 inches of Butyl tape (part # 2-90042-500-0), and stretch/roll butyl to reduce diameter of butyl tape to approximately 4 mm, then wrap butyl
around grommet (figure 3).
NOTE:
One roll of Butyl tape should service 100 washer tank repairs.

Install grommet with butyl to washer tank immediately after application of butyl and massage into place (This will ensure a tight seal, and will
avoid washer fluid leakage) (figure 4).
