8. Move the crankshaft back to about 50° BTDC and then back to TDC of Number 4 cylinder. Align the crankshaft pulley timing groove with the
mark on the oil pump. Make sure that the camshaft pulley timing mark is aligned with the upper surface of the cylinder head and the dowel pin is
in the up position.
9. Measure the deflection by the procedure as shown in the Figure.
Deflection N.m (in.) 16-20 (0.708-0.078)
10. If the measurement value is not within specified, repeat the procedures from step 4.
