Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Rear Pads

1. Remove wheel and tire assembly, then secure rotor with wheel nuts.
2. Remove lower slide pin. Lift caliper up and support with wire.
3. Remove pad and shim.
4. Remove retaining clips.
5. Reverse procedure to install.

Note:  To retract the brake piston, use special service tool (J-37617) or equivalent to turn the piston clockwise until it stops. Align the uneven
section of the piston surface with the caliper center.
Tighten lock bolt to specifications.
Torque: 32 ft.lbs.
