Daytime Running Lamp: Testing and Inspection

With the increase in complexity of the electronic control modules and the multiplexed communication network, the general use of electrical test
equipment is no longer practical. Hence PDU is the only special test equipment used in testing and diagnosis of the daytime running lamps (DRL). For
detailed instructions on testing this function, which is controlled by the GEM and the REM, refer to the PDU User Guide.

The basic function of the PDU is to test an d analyses faults either with the control module or the lamp assemblies, i.e., the bulbs and the electrical
harness/connectors.
