2. INSPECT the IC for damage.

Does the IC indicate any signs of damage?
-> YES
INSTALL a new IC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
Go to D8 See: Pinpoint Tests/D : Instrument Cluster (IC)/D8 : Check Control Area Network Circuit (Y) For Voltage
D8 : Check Control Area Network Circuit (Y) For Voltage
1. Connect the IC IP010.
2. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
3. Measure the voltage between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 6, (Y) data bus plus harness side and GROUND.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
-> YES
Go to D9 See: Pinpoint Tests/D : Instrument Cluster (IC)/D9 : Check Control Area Network Ground Circuit (G)
-> No
REPAIR the circuit bus bar plus (Y). TEST the system for normal operation.
D9 : Check Control Area Network Ground Circuit (G)
1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Measure the resistance between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 14, (G) data bus minus side and GROUND.
-
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
-> YES
Go to D10 See: Pinpoint Tests/D : Instrument Cluster (IC)/D10 : Check IC Module to OBD2 Bus Bar "+" Circuit (Y) For Open
-> No
REPAIR the circuit bus bar minus (G). TEST the system for normal operation.
D10 : Check IC Module to OBD2 Bus Bar "+" Circuit (Y) For Open
1. Disconnect the IC IP010.
2. Measure the resistance between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 6, (Y) harness side and the IC IP010 pin 17.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
-> YES
REPAIR the circuit between the diagnostic connector IP022 pin 6, (Y) harness side and the IC IP010 pin 17. TEST the system for normal
operation.
-> No
Go to D11 See: Pinpoint Tests/D : Instrument Cluster (IC)/D11 : Check IC Module to OBD2 Bus Bar "-" Circuit (G) For Open
