Air Deflector Heat Shield Separation

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
A noise / rattle / smell from under the front of the vehicle may be present. This may be caused by the air deflector heat shield(s) being loose due to heat
stake failure.

Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to repair the air deflector heat shield.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSPECT / REPAIR FRONT AIR DEFLECTOR HEAT SHIELDS

1. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-02: Front End Body Panels > Removal and Installation > Air Deflector, and remove the front air deflector.

NOTE:

If the heat shield(s) is missing, the air deflector must be replaced if substantially damaged due to heat.
