This bulletin outlines the function of the fuel solenoids and will help to establish the cause of the fuel transference from side to side. (Refer to training
aid 51049).
Fuel tank contamination is a common cause for the solenoid/transfer valves sticking. Drain tanks to ensure no contamination is present.

Fault With Delivery Line
(i)
Tank change over valve (C44918) stuck partially open.
(ii)
Dirt on R.H. valve seat.
(iii) Pick up filter (C29445) in L.H. tank partially blocked. This may be accompanied by excessive fuel pump noise.
