Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 3.5L/4.2L, VIN Range: G45704->G99999

Removal

All vehicles

1. Carry out the air conditioning (A/C) system recovery procedure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner.
4. Detach the accessory drive belt.

Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counter-clockwise.
-

Use a 3/8 inch square drive bar to rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner.

-

Detach the accessory drive belt.

Vehicles without supercharger

1. Remove the throttle body.

All vehicles

NOTE:  Vehicles without supercharger shown, vehicles with supercharger similar.

1. Install the special tools.

NOTE:  Vehicles without supercharger shown, vehicles with supercharger similar.

2. Install the special tool.

NOTE:  Vehicles without supercharger shown, vehicles with supercharger similar.

3. Using the special tool, raise the engine to a suitable height.

Adjust the engine support beam (clockwise).

Raise the engine to a suitable height.
