Drive Belt: Service and Repair

Adjust

SUPERCHARGER DRIVE BELT ADJUST

Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

-

Slacken the supercharger drive belt tensioner pulley securing bolt.

-

Tighten the tensioner pulley adjusting bolt (2 Fig. 2) to obtain the correct in-service tension. See Specifications.

Tighten the tensioner pulley securing bolt.

-

Lower the vehicle on the ramp.

CAUTION:  This procedure must be carried out with the belt COLD.

Renew

SUPERCHARGER DRIVE BELT RENEW

-

Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

-

Slacken the supercharger drive belt tensioner pulley securing bolt.
