Inspect the fuel sending unit lines (A), fuel pump (B) and sock (C) for damage and/or restriction and repair as required. Replace the fuel filter.

Locate the fuel return line (D) and drill a 5/64 inch (.078") diameter hole

through one side of the line, 1.25 in. above the outlet of the fuel return line grommet (F). Thoroughly clean return line of metal fragments.

Replace the fuel sending unit O-ring seal and reinstall the fuel sending unit.

5.

Reinstall the fuel tank as per repair manual M.R. 244, Page B-158 or M.R. 277, Page B-146. Add non-contaminated fuel to the fuel tank.
