For vehicles equipped with a trailer hitch, remove the trailer hitch as follows:
a. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies.
b. Remove the left and right rear wheel well splash shield plastic rivets and then remove the splash shields.
C. Remove the left and right rear fascia-to-wheel opening nuts (Figure 4).
d. Remove the rear fascia to liftgate opening push pins (Figure 5).
e. Remove the rear fascia to liftgate opening screws (Figure 5).
f.
Remove the liftgate opening scuff plate and D-pillar trim.
