Disconnect the fuel vapor hose from the fuel tank rollover valve (Figure 12).

Using Miller Special Tool No. 6856, remove the fuel pump module locknut (Figure 13).

Remove the fuel pump module from the fuel tank. Discard the seal.

Remove the two (2) fuel tank strap nuts (Figure 11).

Separate the fuel tank from the fuel tank shield.

39.

Install the new fuel tank into the shield assembly. Tighten the fuel tank strap bolts to 37 ft-lbs (50 Nm).

Using a new seal, install the fuel pump module into the new fuel tank. Rotate the fuel pump module until the indexing arrow on the top of the
module is aligned with the mark on the top of the fuel tank.

Loosely install the fuel pump module locknut.

42.

Using Miller Special Tool No 6856, tighten the locknut to 55 ft-lbs (74 Nm) (Figure 13).

43.

Connect the fuel vapor hose to the rollover valve (Figure 12).

Install the fuel filler and vent hoses onto the fuel tank fittings. To prevent the hoses from kinking, rotate each hose until the painted index mark on
