Place the new park brake pedal support bracket into position (Figure 5).
NOTE:
Some vehicles may have body sealant applied to the lower door hinge tapping plate and the surrounding area. Scrape off the body
sealant in the area where the park brake support bracket contacts the body panel.
NOTE:
Due to door hinge adjustment, the lower door hinge tapping plate location may vary. If the park brake support bracket mounting holes
can not be aligned with the body mounting flange holes, mark the tapping plate area on the support bracket and grind off material from
the edge of the bracket as required (Figure 5).

Place the two bolts through the support bracket and mounting flange (Figure 5). Then loosely install the retaining nuts.

Install the park brake pedal-to-support bracket bolt as follows:

If the original park brake support bracket was removed or missing, install the pedal-to-support bracket bolt into position and install a nut
(provided in the kit) on the backside of the park brake pedal support bracket.

If the original park brake support bracket was not removed or missing, install the pedal-to-support bracket bolt through the new support
bracket and into the original bracket weld nut.

Tighten the park brake pedal-to-support bracket bolt to 100 in.lbs. (11 N.m) (Figure 5).

Tighten the park brake support bracket mounting flange fasteners to 200 in. lbs. (22 N.m) (Figure 5).
