Some 1994 and 1995 Discovery models are experiencing noise coming from the radio when it is turned on while the ignition switch is in position I or II.
This problem was resolved by changes to the radio introduced at serial number PPH0024182. The following procedure fixes the problem by replacing
the radio Control head with a modified unit obtained directly from Pioneer (see note below) and should be used if the noise is evident.

NOTE: 

Some radios prior to serial number PPH0024182 may have been updated through the warranty exchange process. Replace the radio only if the noise
is evident.

TIB provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.

ACTION REQUIRED

Upon customer complaint for the symptoms outlined, perform the specified repairs.
