Courtesy Delay Relay Installation

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

SITUATION:

HEADLIGHT COURTESY DELAY FEATURE WILL NOT WORK

All 2003 MY Discovery vehicles within the above VIN range have been built without the courtesy headlight delay mini-relay. The headlights cannot
be programmed to have the headlight courtesy feature as stated in the Owner's Handbook if the relay is not installed.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALL MISSING RELAY TO PERMIT COURTESY DELAY OPTION

All affected vehicles should have the courtesy delay mini-relay installed at the time of the Vehicle Preparation Process or at the next service
opportunity.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL RELAY

1.

Install headlight courtesy relay YWB101210L) in position 5 of the passenger compartment relay panel. (Figure 1)

2.

Using TestBook/T4, program the courtesy delay feature to the customer specified condition.
