Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair

Power Steering Pump - 3.2L

Service Repair No - 57.20.14 

Removal 

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the battery tray.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
5. Siphon the fluid from the power steering reservoir.
6. Remove the A/C compressor, lower support bracket.

7. Release the accessory drive belt tension.

8. CAUTION:  Be prepared to collect escaping fluids. 

NOTE:  Make sure that all openings are sealed.

Disconnect the power steering fluid lines.

9. Release the power steering pump support bracket.
