Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Installation

4GR-FSE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)   See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Oxygen

Sensor/Service and Repair/Air Fuel Ratio Sensor/Installation

2. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install a new gasket as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH with 6 new nuts.

LH

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
*

Do not damage the stud bolts when installing the exhaust manifold.

*

Be sure to tighten either of nuts A first as show in the illustration.

(c) Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 1).

3. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK

(a) Install the No. 3 engine room relay block with the bolt and nut.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(b) Install the earth wire with the 2 bolts.

Bolt A - Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

Bolt B - Torque : 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
